CROS/BiCROS

The Telex® wireless CROS/BiCROS instruments are designed for patients with little or no useable hearing in one ear and normal or reduced hearing in the other ear. The CROS systems work by placing a microphone on the poorer ear and sending sound to the better ear. Sounds on the "poorer side" can be heard via the "good" ear. Communication in a variety of situations becomes much easier.

There are several different models of the CROS system, each designed to meet the needs of a particular type and configuration of hearing loss. The CROS is used when the better ear has normal or near normal hearing, the BiCROS is used when the better ear also needs some amplification and the MultiCROS lets you choose which side the sound comes from.
