Caring for the FM System
- The student should have a container, with a lid, to store the FM unit when it is not being used.
- A small supply of extra batteries should be maintained. A battery tester, tfor testing the hearing aid button cells, is a useful item to have.
- Listen to the FM system every day before it is used to ensure it is working corerctly.
- Keep the FM devices away from water. FM systems are electronic devices and water can cause serious damage.
- Don’t drop an FM system on a hard surface.
- Don’t let the device be exposed to extreme heat. Do not place it in the direct sunlight for storage.
- If the FM unit becomes soiled, you can safely clean the case with a soft, damp cloth.
