How can I find out if my mobile phone supports Bluetooth?
Find the connectivity settings of your phone. Look for the “Bluetooth” feature in the main menu or one of the submenus such as “Connectivity”. If you cannot find the Bluetooth menu, your phone may not support it. Consult the user guide or ask your mobile phone dealer.

Can somebody else equipped with a bluetooth mobile phone listen in on my phone conversation?
No, iCom receives and transmits Bluetooth signals only from and to devices to which it has been paired and connected. Communication between your mobile phone and iCom is coded and cannot be decoded by other mobile phones

Can I connect iCom to several bluetooth devices simultaneously?
No, iCom can be connected with only one bluetooth device at a time.

Can I also use iCom with other bluetooth devices?
Yes, you can use iCom with all bluetooth devices capable of transmitting audio signals. Possible devices are: MP3-players with bluetooth, computer, electronic agendas etc. Please note the following limitations: It is not recommended to use the bluetooth sound connection when watching DVDs on a computer. Because bluetooth is a relatively slow connection, the video and audio may not be synchronized. Sound quality and transmission speed is best via audio input (3.5 mm jack) connection.

What is the recommended distance between iCom and the mobile phone?
Your iCom supports Bluetooth operation up to a range of 10m (30 ft.). Line-of-sight between your iCom and other device is not required. The bluetooth range is strongly determined by the local situation. iCom and the mobile phone should not be placed more than 2 to 3 meters apart. This will ensure optimal signal strength and clarity, as well as reliable reception of the ringing signal. If the maximum bluetooth range is reached, a crackling noise will become audible during the phone call.

How do I know that the connection is established right after activating bluetooth?
Confirmation of successful connection is indicated on iCom by the Bluetooth indicator slowly flashing blue. Some mobile phones will indicate the connection with a headset symbol on the main screen.

Whom can I contact if I have questions regarding my mobile phone?
Please contact your local mobile phone dealer. The mobile phone dealer may not know iCom, but he or she needs to know that iCom is to be handled as a normal headset device (“Headset”/“Handsfree” device). This means, if any other headset device can be connected to the specific mobile phone, iCom will work fine, too. Additionally, your mobile phone may be capable of streaming audio (“stereo headphones” profile).

I followed the guidelines but still I have no bluetooth connection?
Have your local mobile phone dealer check the mobile phone bluetooth functionality and ask for an update of the mobile phone operating system, if required.

Can I unpair my devices?
If iCom is lost or stolen, you should unpair it with all the devices to which it was previously paired. Find your device’s connectivity settings and find the list of trusted or paired devices. You should then have the option of adding a new device or deleting a trusted or paired device. Highlight iCom and select “delete”.
